24.09.2012 - Marzpets’ incomes 2011

In 2011, Marzpet (Regional Governor) of Lori marz Artur Nalbandyan had the highest income: 52,718,634 AMD and 80,000 USD (total of about 84,718,634 AMD). Marzpet of Tavush marz Armen Ghularyan follows Nalbandyan with his income of 2,288,160 AMD and 20,000 USD (total of about 10,288,160 AMD). The next marzpet having received the third highest income in 2011 is Nver Poghosyan, Marzpet of Gegharqunik marz with his income of 10,576,600 AMD.

14.05.2012 - Freedom of Information in Municipalities - 2012

The FOICA received 34 complete responses, out of 49 requests sent to the Municipalities. 22 out of complete responses were provided in time and 12 - with violation of the defined timeframes. In response to 6 out of 49 requests, the municipalities have provided incomplete responses and 1 response was invalid. 8 requests have remained unanswered.

20.10.2011 - Armenia should step up implementation of anti-corruption policies and laws

This report analyzes progress made in Armenia in developing anti-corruption reforms and implementing recommendations received under the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan since the first monitoring round in 2006. The report also analyses recent developments and provides new recommendations in three areas: anti-corruption policies; criminalisation of corruption; and prevention of corruption.

13.10.2011 - A study of information and communication technologies and good governance in Armenia

"The main purpose of this research is to explore and analyze the current situation with application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in governance and its impact in promotion of democracy in Armenia. The paper starts with discussing different definitions of e-governance and good governance. Then it presents two examples of the contribution of Information and Communication Technologies to local governance in Latin America and India."

23.09.2011 - Freedom of Information in Armenia 2011

On September 22, 2011, The Freedom of Information Center of Armenia presented the “Freedom of Information in Armenia 2011” monitoring outcomes, which gave an opportunity to present the FOI situation in Armenia.
