37. Civil Community for Open and Accountable Government

The project is supported by the Embassy of UK in Yerevan. Project duration is 2 months (October 2014 - December 2014). The Project is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability of the Government through CSO networking and public awareness towards a participatory and effective Open Government Partnership. The Project will facilitate CSOs’ engagement and participation in the Open Government Partnership initiative in order to support implementation of the country action plan and monitor the progress against the country commitments.
The project implies the setup of a public monitoring and participatory mechanism – the Civil Society Forum – around the OGP initiative in Armenia. The planned OGP Civil Society Forum will systemize the participation and oversight of CSOs in the OGP initiative. The Forum will work to broaden, strengthen and engage a strong civil society around the OGP processes in Armenia.
