15.01.2013 Armenian Center Wins FOI Cases, Collects Legal Fees
The FOI Center of Armenia has won a court case in which it sought access to information on spending in a pre-electoral campaign, according to an FOICA announcement.
15.01.2013 The FOICA won the court case against the Zartonk Village Municipality, which lasted 3 years.
On December 12, 2012, the RA Administrative court fully satisfied the FOICA's claim against Zartonk Village Administrator and the Village Administration considering the actions of a local self-governance body as unlawful and obliging to compensate the state fees paid by the FOICA at the amount of 24.000 AMD. The court case lasted more than 3 years.
26.12.2012 The Democratic Party of Armenia will pay 100.000 AMD to the FOICA for hiding information
According to the decision of the RA Court of General Jurisdiction of Center and Norq-Marash administrative districts (judge Arayik Melqumyan) dated on December 21, 2012, the Democratic Party of Armenia was obliged to provide information on finances spent for pre-electoral campaign and to compensate the judicial expenses at the amount of 100.000 AMD as a state fee paid by the FOICA and the lawyer's payment.
13.12.2012 FOICA to Receive Information and Compensation
A ruling by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Kentron and Nork-Marash Communities of Yerevan city, RA, obliged the “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” state agency to provide all the requested information regarding the bonuses and to compensate the legal fees, including state duty and attorney’s fees in the amount of AMD 63.500.

29.11.2012 Workshop with participation of the IDC and the RA Judicial Department’s Working Group
On November 27, 2012 by the support of OSCE Yerevan Office, the Freedom of Information Center organized a workshop with participation of the Information Disputes Council members and representatives of the RA Judicial Department’s Working Group. The objective of the meeting was to discuss prospects of developing the IDC activities.
