17.07.2013 The FOICA won the case against the Democratic Party of Armenia

By its decision dated on June 26, 2013, the RA Court of Cassation finally resolved the court dispute between the FOICA and the Democratic Party of Armenia. The Court rejected the appeal of the party and left in force the decision of the First Instance Court of the General Competence of Center and Nork-Marash administrative districts, by which the Court had fully satisfied the FOICA's claim against the Party.

13.07.2013 FOICA adopts more rigorous criteria for blacklisting

The 2013 Q3 (July-September) Black List will already include not only officials who do not respond to FOI inquiries, but also those who groundlessly refuse providing information or breach the 5-day deadline stipulated by the FOI Law.

02.07.2013 Tomorrow, on July 3, the FOICA will meet the RA National Assembly in the Court

On April 8, 2013 FOICA filed a suit at the RA Administrative Court against the RA National Assembly, appealing the refusal of the RA NA regarding to the FOICA's request to receive the copies of the decrees by the Chairman of the RA NA. The NA claimed that the decrees contain the NA employee's personal data.

The Freedom of Information Center and the Caucasus Institute prepared and published “The 2013 Yerevan Municipal Election Campaign in Online Media Coverage” Monitoring Report.

10.05.2013 The FOICA restarts the training courses for civil servants

Freedom of Information Center of Armenia starts training courses on the topic “Freedom of Information and assurance of public relations in the civil service system”. The training course is for the 82 information officer civil servants.
