The first graduates of the Freedom of Information Educational Center

On November 24, 2010, the first graduates of the Freedom of Information non-formal Educational Center were conferred with certificates of training of a civil servant. 15 representatives of the state governance have successfully finished the training sessions on the Bases of Integrity and Freedom of Information in the system of the state government. The training of civil servants is fulfilled in cooperation with the RA Civil Service Council, the Union of Armenian Government Employees and the Freedom of Information Center of Armenia with financial support of USAID. Representatives from the RA State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre, the RA Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Urban Development and representatives from some regions of the RA participated in the first three-day course of studies.
The training will take place from November 22, 2010 to April 22, 2012. Each training course lasts 3 days. From FOICA the trainers are: Mrs. Marine Hakobyan, FOICA and National Assembly expert, Mrs. Sona Truzyan, FOI expert, Mr. Gevorg Hayrapetyan, FOI lawyer. The UAGE trainers are: Mr. Vache Qalashyan, UAGE president, Mr. Gegham Sargsyan, RA State Civil Service, Head of Education Department, Mr. Gor Abrahamyan, YSU professor, State Civil Service, PR officer.
