September 28: International Right to Know Day

In anticipation of International Right to Know Day (September 28) The Freedom of Information Center of Armenia (FOICA) is celebrating RTI Week (23rd Sept. to 28th Sept.). Throughout the week, following activities/efforts will be conducted by FOICA.
1. A social media campaign
We will run also social media campaign with title #you_have_right_to_know, which will include
- uploading informative posters related to RTI on our social media platforms,
- uploading infographics on statistic information about last year,
- uploading hundreds of information requests which contain special note on "Sept. 28th". The requests have been submitted by the FOICA, partner organizations and students.

2. Special "Sept. 28th" requests for RTI:
During a week all requests sent by FOICA and our colleagues will include a special sentence at the end: P.S. September 28th is the International Right to Know Day.
At least 500 special requests are sent by the FOICA, partner NGOs and students. All requestors will upload a photo with a status about their request inviting others to join the campaign in Facebook.
3. Press Release related to RTI situation based on FOICA experience:
On September 27th FOICA will spread a press release with main points concerning the RTI situation in Armenia. FOICA will mention the main problems and give some recommendations to solve them.
4. Radio Show on Armenian Public Radio:
On September 27th, FOICA will also go live on Public Radio, which has live broadcast throughout all over the country. The president of FOICA Shushan Doydoyan will talk about the problems and achievements in the field, especially after the velvet Revolution of 2018.
