Freedom of Information Center of Armenia.

FOI Center has filed claims of recognition and performance of action against six local self-governance bodies and their leaders and one state non-commercial organization and its director with the RA Administrative Court, alleging violations of the freedom of information right. Currently, the Court has seven pending cases against the following entities and individuals:

1. The Yerevan Construction and Investment Programs Office state non-commercial organization and its director, Robert Harutyunyan,
2. The Zartonk village municipality and the mayor Paruyr Sargsyan,
3. The Bjni village municipality and the mayor Armen Matevosyan,
4. The Yelpin village municipality and the mayor Khoren Avetisyan,
5. The Parakar village municipality and the mayor Samvel Vardanyan,
6. The Talvorik village municipality and the mayor Kirakos Saghatelyan,
7. The Lenughi village municipality and the mayor Gegham Ghazaryan.

FOI Center has asked the RA Administrative Court to recognize as illegal the actions or inaction of the aforementioned persons, which had resulted in a failure to provide complete answers in reply to FOI Center’s requests for information within the period of time required by the law, and to order the respondents to provide the requested information within five days. At the same time, FOI center has requested the Court to impose a 50,000 AMD administrative fine on the aforementioned persons.
