Shushan Doydoyan appointed Chief of Personal Data Protection Agency of Justice Ministry

Freedom of Information Center NGO Chairwoman Shushan Doydoyan was appointed chief of the newly established Personal Data Protection Agency of the RA Ministry of Justice for a term of 5 years.
She was nominated by 8 human rights organizations. The ministry announced a competition for this post in July, in the result of which non-governmental organizations nominated two candidates for the post: Shushan Doydoyan and Marzpetuni Zadoyan.
Shushan Doydoyan has been the founder-director of the FIC since 2001. She advocates freedom of information, has initiated and contributed to the adoption of the Law on Freedom of Information.
