“Freedom of Information Center” Implements Trainings for Civil Service Information Officers

Henceforth, public relations officers of all the ministries, marzes and other state bodies will pass trainings on Freedom of Information Law legislation. The trainings will be implemented by “Freedom of Information Center of Armenia” NGO.
The current decision is made and affirmed by the president of the Civil Service Council Manvel Badalyan by N 302-A 2008 decision. The training is implemented according to “Securing Freedom of Information and Public Relations in Government” training project drafted by FOICA and CSC.
“This is one of the unique cases when non-governmental organization is treated as an equal colleague, when its abilities are highly evaluated, and the necessity of NGO’s direct participation in democratic activities processing in Armenia is a must,” said Shushan Doydoyan, the president of FOICA, commenting on the current decision.
