The FOICA restarts the training courses for civil servants

Freedom of Information Center of Armenia starts training courses on the topic “Freedom of Information and assurance of public relations in the civil service system”. The training course is for the 82 information officer civil servants.
The two-day training courses are implemented in cooperation with of the Civil Service of the RA according to the training course approved by the decision of the State Civil Council of N 305-Ա dated on 17th of April. The themes, which are included in the training course, will be presented to the participants by the experts of FOICA Liana Doydoyan and Gevorg Hayrapetyan, as well as the spokesperson of the Civil Service of the RA Gor Abrahamyan and chief of the scientific-educational department of the Civil Service Gegham Sargsyan.
The participants will get acquainted with the RA legislative framework regulating the field of freedom of information, main problems present in the field, as well as ways to acquire information (including electronic), granting methods and basis of refusal in the first part of the course. The second part of the course will be referred to the planning of public relations and inter-personal relations (collaboration with the citizens, superior-subordinate relations).
The participants, who will successfully complete the course, will receive state sample certificates. Altogether 82 information officer civil servants will take part in the trainings which will be concluded on the 30th of May, 2013.
